Bridgewater is an ideal base for a visit to Knysna - for business or pleasure. Your hosts have extensive first-hand knowledge of the area to help you plan a very worthwhile tour of the Garden Route. There are nine comfortable en suite rooms - lagoon facing with lovely views or quiet courtyard. There are two family units - the others have double or twin beds. The rooms are serviced daily, and have tea/coffee facilities, TV (M-net), ceiling fans and heaters. Most have outside entrances.

Facilities: There is plenty of space to relax in the garden or recline around the swimming pool. The more energetic are welcome to use host canoes - establishment are literally a stone's throw from the water's edge. Portable braai's are available on request. There is a central telephone/fax system, a guest lounge and hospitality fridge. Establishment will gladly make your dinner reservations - there is a wide range of excellent restaurants, many of which are within walking distance.
Activities: The eclectic charm of Knysna and its people, and the spectacular scenic beauty of the immediate area with its indigenous forests, lagoon and rugged coastline will keep you occupied for AT LEAST three days.
Wander through the maze of quaint arts and crafts shops, galleries, museums, indigenous wood craft and furniture factories.Indulge the palate - sample host cultivated and wild coastal oysters at one of the many taverns. Join a township tour, visit Knysna's miniature Elephant Park or stroll through Monkeyland, a primate sanctuary in the forest. Take a nostalgic ride on the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe, the steam train which runs between Knysna and George twice daily. Spend a leisurely day on one of three beautiful beaches nearby, or head for the mystical forests. There are spectacular coastal and forest trails which offer wonderful day walks - maps and advice on hand.
