Hammerstein Lodge and Camp |
Location Hammerstein is a Lodge and Camp situated
between Swakopmund and Luderitz and nestled between the Nubib and Tsaris
mountains. It is an ideal stopover for travellers to the south of Namibia.
Hammerstein visitors
have a choice between bungalows equipped for self-caterers, camping facilities
or dinner, bed and breakfast lodging.
Hammerstein paintings
A few kilometers from the Lodge, rocky outcrops of massive granite boulders
with Bushman paintings conjure up visions of a giant's playground. It is from
one of these boulders - an enormous rock shaped like a hammer - that
"Hammerstein", the German name of the farm, was derived.
Hammerstein activities
Hammerstein Lodge & Camp offers sundowner drives into the mountains,
sightseeing flights as well as 4x4 trips to Sossusvlei on request.
