Lovedale is the oldest farm in Namibia still in the same family (since 1854). The oldest Karakul stud in Namibia is the farm's main farming activity. Now you can experience true Namibian farm life at Lovedale Farm Holidays with self-catering accommodation and camping. Lovedale is situated 19 km west of Helmeringhausen on the C27 road to Sossusvlei. A nice stopover on your way to either Sossusvlei (300km), Fish River Canyon (300 km) or Lüderitz (235 km). No farm road has to be travel as farm is just next to the main road. Farm can thus be reached with any type of vehicle.

The old farm house has been renovated into two self-catering units each big enough for 4 people, but it can also be used as one unit for 8 people. Everything is provided: fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, coffee and tea. Each room is provided with bed-linen and towels. Each unit has its own private BBQ-area with wood provided (included in the price). Parking is secure and safe. Then there is a "Safari-Room" for two people also fully equipped for self-catering. You only make use of the camp site ablution facilities (only 30 m away). This room also has its own private BBQ-area with wood provided. Then for the more adventurous of heart, there are luxury campsites with hot showers, flush toilets, electricity, BBQ-areas with wood and lots of shade. Also two separate places for washing dishes and clothes.
If you like to walk, watch birds or want to participate in farm activities, then this will be the place for you. To participate in farm activities you'll have to stay at least two days to make it worthwhile. If you want to do a 4x4 scenic drive or a night drive this can be arranged at extra cost and only if you stay over for at least two nights.
